At first glance, this video may just look like three tiny dancers performing a dainty number in pink tutus. However, the real story is so much better than that! During a tap dance performance, little Johanna Colón had no problem getting in character as they danced to Aretha Franklin's "Respect." She's got spunk and sass and it's evident as soon as she spins around in her adorable tap dancing shoes.
Since this video was uploaded earlier this month, it has been a huge hit, racking in over 15 million views over various social media platforms. What started as a dance recital in Raleigh, North Carolina has turned into a viral sensation with millions cheering on spunky Johanna. The six-year-old dancer brought an adorable fiery attitude for her special performance.
In an interview with ABC News, Johanna's mother Elissa Colón discussed Johanna's personality, describing her as "bubbly" and "feisty." I don't know about you, but I think it's pretty clear from the video how true Colón's words are. Colón also explained that Johanna spends much of her time caring for her little brother who suffers from Hirschsprung's disease.
It's nearly impossible not to laugh or smile while watching this video. I love sharing content that I know will put a smile on others' faces. I doubt anyone who attended this entertaining dance recital in person expected the footage to be as popular as it has. Watch the video and share your reaction with us in the comments section below!
