There are few things better than sitting back and taking in Celine Dion's unbelievable voice (after all, she's considered one of VH1's Divas for a reason). However, her performance of Journey's "Open Arms," taped during her Las Vegas residency to be broadcast at the 2011 Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon, truly moved us on another level. Watch as she belts out this rock 'n' roll classic like only Celine Dion can, demonstrating a surprisingly delightful departure from her own iconic power ballads.
This telethon, now known as the MDA Show Of Strength, is a televised benefit concert broadcast each year on Labor Day Weekend. Hosted by Jerry Lewis for decades in order to fundraise for the Muscular Dystrophy Associations of American (MDAA), the tradition carries on till this day and we're thankful to performers like Ms. Dion for honoring his legacy.
