It can be a drag to take a lovely bouquet out of its wrapping only to find out upon putting it in the vase that you've ruined the arrangement. Arranging a vase full of flowers is difficult, in large part due to the particularities of the vase's shape. Given that most vases are essentially just open circles at the top, the flowers tend to fall to the side, leaving the center of many amateur arrangements looking bare. This trick sections off the space at the opening, allowing your flowers to fill the vase in a way they never have before. My bouquets have never looked so full!
