There are many benefits to swaddling your infant, which is why the majority of new parents learn the skill from maternity nurses shortly after the mother gives birth. Swaddling is said to comfort an infant because it is reminiscent of a mother's womb, and it gives the brand-new baby a sense of safety and security.


The video below shows a great technique called a double swaddle, and it's useful if you have a squirmy baby who wriggles out of a regular swaddle.
