Lifeguard Rescues Boy In Wave Pool

To many of us, this just looks like a crowded wave pool full of families escaping the summer heat. However, the lifeguard on duty sees something much scarier when she gazes out upon the water. Watch as she spots a young boy floundering amongst the hoards of people in their inner tubes and immediately springs into action (00:13), proving that it really takes a trained eye to know what to look for when it comes to water safety.

The CDC reports that every day, two children under the age of 14 die from unintentional drowning. Therefore, it goes without saying how important these lifeguards are in keeping our kids safe during their summertime swims. Kudos to this real-life hero for turning a dire situation into a happy ending. Have you ever endured a similarly frightening situation? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below and make sure to share if you found this rescue as compelling as we did.
