Have a fear of bees? If so, this video is guaranteed to make your skin crawl. Watch as Youtube personalities Rhett and Link visit Bill the beekeeper and cringeworthy hilarity ensues when Link grows himself a "bee beard." That's right: 10,000 bees fly onto his face to get close to the queen bee strapped around his neck. In fact, in order to really get the swarm going, the beekeeper puts little pieces of plastic marked with the queen's scent all over Link's face and neck until thousands of flying insects are actually landing on his face.
Earlier in the day, the beekeepers admitted that getting stung is part of the job and Link certainly didn't escape his beard experience without a few swollen red spots. However, he takes it like a champ and here at SF Globe, we salute his courage. We don't think we'd have the nerve, but we've got to admit that these flying insects seem a little bit less scary after watching them swarm harmlessly on Link's face.
Do you think bees seem less frightening after watching Link escape relatively unharmed? How much money would someone have to pay you to try on the bee beard? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below and make sure to share if you found this footage as insane as we did!
