These Marines are part of the Silent Drill Platoon, a group of 24 men that are meant to be an example of the discipline and precision of the US Marine Corp.  The Platoon performs an incredible marching exhibition, but without the use of music to keep in time with each other. The result is truly mesmerizing.

The Silent Drill Platoon originally formed after the silent performance received such loving reception in the 1940s. Realizing that there was something special about the exhibition, the Marine Corps kept it as a permanent platoon. 70 years later, the group still commands a supreme respect from whomever sees their precise movements.
