Being separated from loved ones for a prolonged amount of time is a position that nobody envies. Especially when that separation means missing huge milestones in a family's history, milestones like the arrival of a newborn baby. For Staff Sergeant John Gallagher, that scenario was a reality for seven long months while he served overseas in Afghanistan.
While John was deployed, his wife Lisa gave birth to their second child, a baby boy named Reed. When Dove heard about the Gallagher story, they wanted to make it their mission to reunite John with his family as part of their Dove Men+Care "Mission: Care" campaign. John had no idea that during his interview with Dove that he would get an emotional surprise from the three most important people in his life.
