When war breaks out our nation tends to swell with an immediate sense of nationalism, pride, and overarching respect for our nation's military. As war action ebbs and flows, so to does its media coverage, which in turn has a tendency to distract our population with scandals, "The Bachelor," and misbehaving professional athletes (and politicians).
We here at SFG feel this tribute to our fallen soldiers is a powerful reminder that not only do we still have brave men and women putting their lives on the line every day, but that many have already sacrificed their lives and should be remembered by more than just their immediate family.
Set to Jo Dee Messina's "Heaven Was Needing A Hero," this video shows so many powerful images that evoke a feeling of gratitude and love for the ones we've lost. We are hoping this video is at least a starting point for saying "thank you." So if you know someone in the military you'd like to thank, or just to let them know you are thinking about them, pass this powerful message along.
