On August 6th, Brooke Ochoa overheard an older woman ordering a table for 1 at a restaurant in Texas. Since Brooke was also eating alone, she decided to ask this woman if she'd like to have lunch together. The woman, named Delores, told Brooke during their meal that she had just suffered loss in her family and wasn't used to spending her time alone yet.
Brooke chronicled her experience with the Delores on Facebook, which received over 2 million 'likes' due to the human connection made between the two strangers. Brooke had such a positive experience after her lunch with Delores, she plans on eating lunch with the woman weekly in the future.
