The 14th season of American Idol has begun, and among the contestants is 23-year-old Kelley Kime, who has a 3-year-old daughter named Hope. This single mom is off to a great start with this season's show. Before Kelley takes her turn singing, she lets her daughter sing "Let it Go" for the judges and she is quickly given her own golden ticket to move on in the show.
The judges were a little worried that Kelley wouldn't be up to scratch after telling her daughter she could move on to the next round, but she did not disappoint. Kelley sang Maroon 5's "Sunday Morning," while her daughter sat on Jennifer Lopez's lap, and she did not disappoint the judges. Check out the video to hear both of their auditions.
