We here at SFG love a good wedding "dance-off" as much as anything, and this one stands out in the crowd. It all starts with the groom getting down to the classic James Brown tune "Get Up Offa That Thing" to the adoration of the crowd. When he signals over to Mom in the crowd, that's exactly what she does. What happens next is too awesome not to share with the world.
The moment she takes center stage the music shifts from Mr. Brown to Tina Turner's "Rolling On The River." It was clear in an instant that Mom came to this showdown to win the crown. They go back and forth in both dance styles and genres, and I just can't get enough. We've seen a lot of great wedding dance videos, but this one is quickly becoming my favorite.
Not to take anything away from the much younger, and admittedly more agile, groom but this is one momma who definitely has some moves. When he starts dancing to the hip hop song "Crank That" by Soulja Boy Tell'em, I lost it when Mom joins in. The song has a choreographed dance that goes along with it and they both performed it in unison. It was amazing.
Ultimately the bride had to make the tough decision of picking a winner. You'll have to watch the video to see the final verdict. We'd love to hear your reaction to this fantastic display of love, happiness, and overall zest for life. Who do you think was the winner? Spread this video if it brought you as much joy as it brought me.
